I've had Ryan work on 3 properties, my home and 2... others. When I had issues with my houses A/C, he came and looked at it for free. He was very honest, and we got it fixed at a very affordable price. He told us what we needed to do to get it fixed or if we wanted to get a replacement, and all the details for each option, so we could make an educated decision. The other 2 locations, Ryan was prompt with service. Good pricing, and the install was cheaper than the other quotes we received from other HVAC companies. The quality is great! Ryan makes it very hard not to hire him. He... stopped by after what turned into a surprisingly stressful AC/refrigerant situation with a different company.Before choosing an installer, I did a LOT of research. I collected over 10 AC replacement estimates, compared equipment brands and models, warranties, system sizing, refrigerants, installation practices, permitting, and pricing. I went far enough down the HVAC rabbit hole that I knew considerably more about condensers and tonnage than I ever intended to know.My existing system was an older American Standard unit that used R-22, and a technician from another company mistakenly added 3 pounds of R-410A refrigerant. The technician ultimately acknowledged the mistake and the company offered to replace the system, but their proposed replacement was a 2.5-ton system for my roughly 900-square-foot home, when my existing equipment was 1.5 ton. At that point, I wasn't comfortable moving forward without doing my own homework and getting additional opinions.Ryan stood out immediately because I never felt like I was being convinced to believe things or upsold. It’s wild - interview enough of these guys and one will look you straight in the face and tell you the exact opposite of what the last guy said. Ryan was knowledgeable, straightforward, patient with my many questions, accommodated my preferences and able to explain *why* he was recommending what he was recommending. After comparing all of my options, I ultimately chose 5280 and a 1.5-ton Trane XR14, and I feel extremely good about that decision.The quote was very competitive, but price wasn't ultimately what won me over. It was the combination of the Trane equipment, the warranty, the attention to installation and commissioning, and most importantly, my confidence that Ryan actually understood my home and was recommending the right system rather than simply trying to sell me a bigger or more expensive unit.The new Trane has been great!I am probably not the easiest HVAC customer - I research everything, ask a ridiculous number of questions and want to understand what I'm paying for. Ryan never made that feel like a problem. After multiple estimates, conflicting recommendations, and one pretty major mistake from another HVAC company, 5280 was the company that finally made me feel confident about the decision I was making.If you're someone who wants an HVAC company that will actually explain your options, recommend equipment appropriate for your home, and earn your trust rather than pressure you into a sale, I would absolutely recommend Ryan and 5280.read more

Ryan and his team installed a new furnace and AC... unit. Our system was 20-30 years old and he was able to install everything in about 4 hours. Quick and easy. We had a couple issues come up along the way (not fault of 5280) and they were able to problem solve and create a solution that others may not have figured out.
